The esteemed Zonal Pastor of Southern Africa Zone 5, Pastor Ruth Musarurwa, presided over the Foundation School Graduation Ceremony of over 150 inmates incarcerated at the Whawha Prison Young Offenders Section in Gweru, Zimbabwe.
The youthful graduates, mostly teenagers, had undergone a rigorous, intensive and regenerative regimen, diligently studying the foundational doctrines of the gospel of Jesus Christ as communicated by the man of God and BLW President, the Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome, to whom they paid tribute for altering the course of their destinies for the best.
There was cause for joyous celebration as the successful students of the word received their accolades from Pastor Ruth, amid much dancing and excitement, while dressed in academic regalia. The accolades included recognition awards for those who had exceptionally passed the final examinations with flying colors. Besides celebrating the graduates, brethren from Christ Embassy presented the prison community with food stuffs and other basic necessities for their succor.
It was a day well spent with the inaugural graduation ceremony in 'the Year of the Supernatural' in which lives were given a meaning, destinies altered and mindsets transformed, with the younsters looking forward to a fresh start in society. Many thanks were expressed to the man of God for the ministry of the word which invariably caused a turnaround in the erstwhile hopeless lives of the inmates.
