Inspiring young people from Zimbabwe, Botswana, Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Egypt, Cameroon, Congo and other nations were recognized by the BLW President as honored recipients of the Future Africa Leaders' Award 2017 just a few moments ago.
As the citations for each awardee was read by the highly esteemed CEC Member, Pastor T. T. Edun, hope was sparked in the hearts of participants around the world to learn that the future of the African continent is secure in the hands of convicted and motivated youths. Each FALA Winner receives a $10,000 prize to encourage them in the humanitarian work carried out in their communities.
The Star Prize Winner and recipient of an additional $25,000 prize, Naomi Ekpoki Aliyu, was specially celebrated for her efforts in helping victims of terrorism and internally displaced persons. The United States' Youth Assembly representative, Ms. Naomi Aliyu, advocates for the enforcement of laws protecting young girls from early marriage, among several other laudable acts.
