In the course of his message on ‘the Month of Favor’ during the May 2018 Global Communion Service, the BLW President admonished the global congregation to refuse to fear in the face of disaster and adversity. Pastor Chris reminded the brethren that God lives in them, hence they cannot be disadvantaged. The man of God instructed the brethren to speak in tongues if faced with kidnappers, robbers or other assailants.
These were the words Kgotso Lekau, a youth leader from Cape Town, South Africa, needed in an hour of crisis that followed the special service. On his way to a meeting, Kgotso was approached by a young man who asked for money and demanded to see his wrist-watch. Upon refusing, the attempted assailant became more determined to take Kgotso’s watch and other belongings, threatening to stab him in the process.
The words of the man of God, Pastor Chris, came to Kgotso’s mind, and he began to speak in tongues and prophesy over the young man's life. Within minutes, the assailant started to cry and apologize on his knees. Brother Kgostso got emotional to see what happens when God’s Word is put to work; the young man that came to steal his property left with an encounter with God, experiencing divine favor as well.
