A high point of the event was a vote of thanks by an inmate who would be completing his degree program in two weeks, testifying that he came into the prison without any formal education but has so far journeyed from elementary level to secondary studies and to being so close to a Bachelor of Science in Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies, all while in prison.
