The esteemed Zonal Director, Pastor Joy Amenkhienan, extended God's love and salvation to thousands of indigent children at Port Harcourt Zone 3's 'Send Portions' Christmas Party. The special outreach program was conducted in fulfillment of Nehemiah 8:10b [NLB], which says: "go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gift of food with people who have nothing prepared."
The motivating scripture (Nehemiah 8:10) describes the amplitude of God's love and compassion seen by over 5,000 indigent children in the Borokiri Community, during the 'Send Portions' Children's Christmas Party, hosted by the esteemed Zonal Director of Port Harcourt Zone 3, Pastor Joy Amenkhienan, on Saturday, December 23rd.
The children came in their numbers, anticipating special moments of fun and laughter, with physical and spiritual refreshment. Award-winning Gospel artiste, Sinach, ministered in songs, stirring contagious joy and excitement in the children, as they basked in God's manifest presence. More fun and laughter followed as Gospel comedian, Bishop Chikancy, took the stage to minister. Various games and activities, dance and spoken word presentations and Christmas carols added to a memorable yuletide package.
Sharing God's Word with the children, the esteemed Pastor Joy explained the reason for celebrating Christmas, which is celebrating the life of Christ that has been made available to anyone who accepts Jesus as Lord. She taught that, once a man receives salvation, he receives eternal life into his spirit, which is awakened to the life of God. Thousands of children gave their hearts to Christ, in response to the altar call, being gloriously ushered into the kingdom of God.
Radiant smiles beamed on the faces of all the children as they took home various gift items, including lunch packs and ministry materials. The party concluded with benedictions from the esteemed Zonal Director, as she prayed specially for the children, positioning them for a glorious life in Christ.
