Professionals Band Together for the Gospel’s Furtherance at Special Conference

Pastor Joy Amenkhienan brings professionals together in communities to use their work to the Gospel’s advantage.

On October 13th, several lawyers, politicians, civil servants, journalists and media house professionals in Rivers State convened for the first-of-its-kind Communities of Practice Conference, hosted by Christ Embassy Port Harcourt Zone 3. This strategic conference, organized by the BLW Directorate of Corporate Affairs, inspired professionals to use their offices, craft and expertise for the advantage and protection of the causes and interests of the Church and this glorious gospel.

The highly esteemed Reverend Tom Amenkhienan, a CEC Member, in an online session with the participants, called on them to lend their voices to government issues that affect the agenda of the Church. He said, “as a Kingdom-minded professional, you must become concerned about the actions or inactions of governing authorities that may jeopardize the future of the Church. Be involved in mentoring others in politics, civil service, legal practice and in activism, in line with the agenda and vision of our ministry and the thoughts in the hearts of the man of God, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome.”

The esteemed Zonal Director of CE Port Harcourt Zone 3 and Regional Pastor of Northern Nigeria Regions, Pastor Joy Amenkhienan, applauding the efforts of the Communities of Practice, challenged participants to use their offices of authority to increase the network of Christians in the city. “God has placed you in your position or office to be a voice for Him. We must pursue our agenda with vigor and conviction,” the esteemed Pastor Joy said.

A stirring prayer session with the facilitator, the esteemed Pastor Arinze Emmanuels, informative workshops and a special address by the BLW Director of Corporate Affairs, the esteemed Pastor Ifeoma Chiemeka, were also high points of the conference. At the end of the conference, Pastor Joy ministered specially to participants, particularly those appointed to head various teams, imparting them with special grace and abilities to take the message of the gospel to the marketplace of life.

The Communities of Practice is a forum created by the BLW Nation to take advantage of the current practices and jurisdiction of all nations to aid, protect and ensure the continuous spread of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth. The communities include: Communities of Practice for Lawyers, Politicians, Civil Servants, Ex-Service Men, Army and Naval Officers; Communities of Practice for Journalists, Media Houses, Media Personnel and TV Presenters etc; Communities of Practice for NGO Operators and Civil Rights Activists.
